Emma Alvarez – Top Best 50 Ubuntu Opensource Applications For Design And Developing

Lists, upon lists, upon lists. But when an artist is describing which applications she can use to design and create new materials on a website that screams “design”, that list deserves more than a casual attention. Emma Alvarez, from Spain, gave her list of applications and there were a few surprises.

InCollector seems like a good program since it should help to organize my data. I never heard of Synfig, but it should be fun to create 2D animations with it. And I definitely need Conky to check my systems resources.

And don’t forget to check out Emma’s art.

  1. I’d heard of Synfig, and it’s great, especially thanks to the excellent documentation that is available. Didn’t play around with it too long, though.
