Slashdot | Dutch ODF Plan Could Sideline Microsoft
It’s good to see some international attention for the Dutch government’s intentions to make the use of open standards compulsory as of April 2008. There is still a lot of work to be done as can be seen here.
This doesn’t mean that Microsoft isn’t trying to change the minds of the public and the policy makers. It’s key arguments? Open standards are bad for innovation and provide an unfair playing field for Microsoft.
