PC-BSD 1.4.1 Available

After working and playing with PC-BSD for over a month I believe it is one open source desktop to keep a close eye on. So it is good to see a new release bringing it up to version 1.4.1.

This version contains some updates and some fixes:
* Upgrades Compiz 0.5.2 to Compiz-Fusion 0.6.0
* Switches from HPIJS to HPLIP for better printer / scanner support.
* Adds extra screen savers with X-Screensaver package
* Updates NVIDIA drivers to latest releases from NVIDIA.
* Fixes issue with “tar” extract error during install when using custom partitioning.
* Switches ISO to LZMA compression, speeding up the install and reducing the size of the CD ISO image.

The release notes can be found here. If you have 1.4 running you won’t have to install anew but you can use the patch.
